Mid-November?

Today is a beautiful day, even though winter is surely coming...right?

Fall Pictures

We got our family pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. We teamed up with two other families in our ward and had a photo session. It was fun. We aren't very exciting, but I needed to fill some picture frames. Here are a few of our favorites.

Football Game

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go to our first (and only) football game of this season. It was freezing cold, but we had a great time. Our seats are horrible (the 4th row...from the top). I love going to the games! I love watching the marching band before the game and during half time. Josh likes to make comments like, "Oh, was that a hole-in-one?" or "We need a home run". It makes me laugh. The scenery from the top of the "shoe"
Our view of the game. At least we can see the entire field and nearly everyone in the stadium all at the same time.
Did I mention it was cold and threatening to rain?

Happy Halloween!

Let me tell you the story behind this little guy. Josh got a birthday package from his mom, it also had a Halloween card and this. Attached was a note that said something like this, "We saw this ghastly clown and thought of Krystal..."

What the --?

I am still trying not to be offended. But here he is, poor guy...

♥ Happy Birthday Joshua ♥

Josh turned 29 on the 18th. We went bowling with some friends, and then sang karaoke until after midnight. (We really are getting too old to stay out that late.) It was so much fun. Josh asked me how I liked being married to an "old man"- I love it. Here I am with him. The guys- Josh is looking for a song to sing for karaoke.
We had cake and ice cream. Luckily the smoke alarms didn't go off. Blowing out the candles.
Happy Birthday, Sweetheart. I hope you had a great day.

Projects

Okay Mom, this post is for you. Here are the projects that I have been working on. The pictures aren't the greatest though. Here is the clock.

Here are the signs. Now if I could only decide where to hang them....ha!

Gettysburg, September 2009

We decided to stop at Gettysburg in Pennsylvania "on the way" home from DC. It was a couple of hours out of the way, but we were so close. I want to go back to Gettysburg because we missed so much and it is such an important place in history. Here are a few pictures. There was a monument for each state involved in the civil war. Here we are in front of the monument for North Carolina, commemorating "Picket's Charge" Here are a couple more pictures. The area is bigger than we thought. In fact, we bought a CD of a car tour so you can drive to each place and learn what happened there. It can last 1-1/2 to 2 hours. We didn't get through half of it.
The stone fences, cannons, and trees were just beautiful. This is the Monument of General Lee. We don't know when we'll go back, but I really want to. You can easily spend a full day there. On our trip we were in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland. We drove 987 miles and miraculously fit everything in our car! (2 tents, sleeping bags, dutch oven, cooler, food, baby stuff for Ashton- we are amazing.) Here are some car pictures of the beautiful fall colors and the "mountains". :) (Ignore the dirty windshield )
