We love visitors and were able to meet Kristie, Cameron, Jen, and "S-dawg" at Hilton Head for a great weekend, then they came to Augusta and we got to hang out here. Unfortunately, they brought colder weather with them. What a bummer. We made the most of it and enjoyed our time together. Saturday September 17 we walked to the beach. It was overcast and windy, so we were't there very long. Uncle Josh and Cameron. This little guy loved the water and waves. Ahh, to be young and carefree...

All the kids :) Krystal, Josh, Cameron, Jen, and Kristie
Kristie found these cute shells in Charleston, and decided to carry them around all day so she could take them home to Lexie. She put them in a plastic bag, and then put them in her purse, until Friday night.
It wasn't until she showed us her treasure at 11pm Friday night that she discovered she had 2 pets, not 2 shells. Notice the legs? Look again...
So, the hermit crabs spent the night in the sink, while Sharon spent the night worrying they would climb out. It was pretty funny. Kristie dropped her toothbrush on the tile floor in the bathroom Friday night. Sharon was in the living room panicking because she thought the crab crawled out of the sink and fell onto the floor. I was laying in bed trying so hard not to laugh out loud. It was priceless.
The walk back to the condo. Just chillin' like a villian.
Since the weather was less than ideal, we decided to drive to Tybee Island and eat at the Crab Shack. We were there in June and ♥'d it! We thought we better go back because anywhere else may be a disappointment. Waiting for our supper :)
Taking a walk before dinner. It was beautiful. You can see the Tybee Island lighthouse in the distance.
Cameron was on Josh's shoulders until this happened. I still don't know how Josh managed to come away clean. Not even a drop on his hat! In Josh's words, "That was lucky!"
I thought this was a cute picture of Kristie and Jen.
Dinner is served! It makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
Delicious! I am not sure what Josh is doing in this picture, but it is a classic Joshua C. picture :)
Just being silly. I love this picture of Cameron. What a little stinker!
Precious!
We got to feed the alligators too.
It was a fun day.
Sunday we went to church in Hilton Head and then drove, yet again, to Savannah. We went to Wormsloe, an old plantation. It was beautiful. The original house is not standing, and the family house there now is not open to the public. But we walked on the grounds and enjoyed the day. I would love a driveway that looks something like this: live oak trees and Spanish moss. Absolutely beautiful! Oh, an entry like this would be okay too, if I didn't have strangers standing in it taking pictures.
Josh took over with the camera.
We walked to the old plantation. Here is what is left.
Me and "tired eyes" at the foundation of the Wormsloe house.
Did I mention that the trees here were absolutely beautiful?
We braved the swamp...ha ha. We did hear some splashes in the water. Still don't know what it was!?
We watched a guy making pewter spoons. It was interesting. Pouring the melted pewter into the mold. When the shininess is dull, the mold is ready to open.
Tada!
After visiting Wormsloe, we went into Savannah and had dinner. We ate at the six pence pub. The food was delicious, as was the giant eclair. Yummm. The store front was cute with the red phone booth next door.
Us girls headed back to Hilton Head and Josh drove back to Augusta for work Monday morning. :( We missed him for the rest of the week.

Oh my gosh, the hermit crab part just made me laugh SO HARD! I do love how you used the word "supper" in this one....ahhhhh...you're well on your way to being a hick! This made me miss all those Muirs. Sniff...sniff... :(
I love how you capture every moment w/ a picture! Looks like you guys had a good time. And how could you not notice the crab IN the shell for so long? Pretty funny.
You're hair's getting so long! I would've loved to see S-Dogg's face when the toothbrush was dropped. :) Did you buy me a spoon?
