Rutabaga anyone?

While Josh, Mark, and Allison were at the Georgia Tech game, Haley and I drove to Macon for the night, then we met up with them Friday afternoon (Veteran's Day). Friday afternoon, we ate at Janine's (southern cooking- it was delicious!). I had my first experience with rutabagas. They look interesting. I must say, they were delicious. Haley had to capture the moment. :) We had such a great time. When we walked into the restaurant, there was an older gentleman near the door. He was walking toward us and Haley told him there were 2 of us. The poor guy just smiled and kept walking. She thought he worked there and was going to seat us. Oops. It was so funny. We were seated and laughed and laughed. It was priceless. With our bellies full, we were ready to be on our way to Atlanta.
We were obsessed with the beautiful fall colors. I ♥ them! Here is a random picture as we left Macon. Haley was so focused on her driving. We met up with Josh, Mark, and Allison in Atlanta. Luckily it was a holiday and traffic wasn't as bad as it normally would be. (yikes!) Allison's dad lives in Atlanta and we were able to stay with him. Before we met up with Allison's dad for dinner, we had time to kill so we wandered in a few stores. We spent most of our time here... Kind of embarrassing. We are getting old and boring. At least it was relaxing. After we were completely relaxed, we met Allison's dad and had dinner. It was a fun evening and we had a good time at dinner. Lots of random conversations, during which the waitress would always walk into the room at interesting times. Too funny.
